R060 Coursework Documentation

Planning Your Coursework

The Project Specification provided by OCR contains a list of tasks, diagrams, functionality, and other requirements which you are expected to include.

It is a good idea to print the Project Specification and tick-off each item as you complete it. You may find it easier to create your own checklist based on these requirements. This can help you to:

  • Focus your ideas
  • Break-down requirements into simple, more manageable tasks

If you find a task too difficult, you can skip it and return to it later. By ticking completed tasks, you can keep track of anything you still need to do.

Topic Area 1

This section covers how you will plan your project. Most of the content is covered by R050 Topic 1: IT in the Digital World, so refer back to that section.

Topic Area 2

This is your spreadsheet solution. You do not need to write anything for this section, but you will need to submit your spreadsheet file.

Topic Area 3

OCR will provide you with a test plan. Work through it, one test at a time. Ensure you fully document your test results and include screenshots as proof.

Topic Area 4

Finally, evaluate your overall project. What went well, and what could you have done in a better way. Be candid about your project.

Final Thoughts

Starting your coursework can seem daunting. By breaking it down into smaller sections, highlighting tasks, and ticking them off as you complete them, it will soon become much more manageable. Good luck!
